I would like to start digitally painting horses, but I have no idea how to begin. I specifically need some serious help when it comes to shading and making the horses look somewhat realistic. Any advice or tutorials would be such a big help!

Odd Photoshop Problems

Hey everyone,
It's been a while haha. I was planning on making a graphic today, but every time I dropped a photo of a horse or something on the background that I made, photoshop would automatically erase part of it. Something is seriously messed up over here :(
